This Weekend in Pittsburgh: October 30 – November 1
Published Thursday, October 29, 2026. Halloween weekend is the biggest doubleheader of the fall: Pitt hosts Georgia Tech under the lights at Acrisure on Halloween night, then the Steelers host the Browns there Sunday at 1:00 PM. In between: Dylan Gossett & Charles Wesley Godwin and Aries Spears at The Wylie, Hadestown's closing weekend at the Benedum, Harry Potter with a live orchestra at Heinz Hall, and the final nights of Kennywood's Phantom Fall Fest and the Zoo's Jack O'Lantern Extravaganza — both end Sunday. Clocks fall back early Sunday, so Sunday's times are Eastern Standard. Every date below was verified against venue, team, and ticketing listings — lineups can change, so confirm before you head out.
Top picks
Dylan Gossett & Charles Wesley Godwin — 7:15 PM
A country/Americana co-bill to open the weekend: Gossett and West Virginia's own Charles Wesley Godwin share The Wylie stage Friday night.
Pitt vs. Georgia Tech — 7:30 PM (ESPN2)
Halloween night, primetime, on the North Shore. Pitt (5–3) hosts Georgia Tech at Acrisure at 7:30 PM on ESPN2 — a costume-friendly college night game before Sunday's main event.
Aries Spears — 8:00 PM
The Halloween comedy headliner. Aries Spears plays The Wylie at 8:00 PM Saturday — the grown-up alternative to the bar crawls.
Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns — 1:00 PM (CBS)
The rematch. Pittsburgh (5–2) lost 27–24 at Cleveland on October 1; Sunday at Acrisure, 1:00 PM on CBS, the Steelers get the Browns — also 5–2 — at home with the division lead in play.
Hadestown — Closing Day, 1:00 PM & 6:30 PM
Last chance. The Tony-winning musical closes its Pittsburgh run Sunday with a 1:00 PM matinee and a 6:30 PM finale at the Benedum.

Honest note on sports: Acrisure Stadium does the heavy lifting this weekend — Pitt on Saturday night, the Steelers on Sunday — and that's it for home teams. The Penguins are on the road Saturday at Montreal (7:00 PM, watch-party framing only; their next home game is Tuesday, Nov 3 vs. Vegas), PPG Paints Arena has no Friday–Sunday event this weekend, and the Pirates' season is over, so ignore any "World Series — if necessary" placeholder listings floating around aggregator sites: no such game is scheduled at PNC Park. Two closings to plan around: Hadestown, Phantom Fall Fest, and the Jack O'Lantern Extravaganza all end Sunday, November 1. And remember the clocks fall back at 2:00 AM Sunday — you get an extra hour Saturday night, and Sunday's 1:00 PM Steelers kickoff is Eastern Standard Time.
